Idea Jam 2022: CityStudio project to Encourage Student Engagement

This year, the Idea Jam 2022 involved a CityStudio student project!

During the event production of Idea Jam 2022, CityStudio North Vancouver Project Lead Aderyn Davies has been working with Dahlia Vu and Chelsea Evans who are students in CMNS 495: Media Campaigns.

Dahlia Vu and Chelsea Evans

Dahlia Vu and Chelsea Evans are both students in Business and Professional Studies. Dahlia Vu is a Communication major and student leader; via the organization of multiple student engaging events and practice in class projects, she has gathered a well-grounded amount of knowledge in public relations planning. Chelsea Evans is a Business student with an event management background. She has various experience in planning, hosting, and organizing corporate events.

Dahlia and Chelsea have been consulting with Aderyn to plan and coordinate Idea Jam 2022. They created a public relations plan with research and suggestions on how to develop Idea Jam 2022 into a greater success. They also took part in the construction of media promoting content, event preparation materials, and event rehearsal. Their contribution in Idea Jam 2022 is an example of many forms CityStudio North Vancouver’s projects can take.

Idea Jam 2022 is an event gathering City of North Vancouver staff and Partners to brainstorm project ideas for future course collaborations. Within the upcoming semesters, Capilano University students can look forward to participating in work-integrated learning projects to make meaningful change in the communities they live, work, learn and thrive.
