CityStudio North Vancouver is made possible by the strong relationship and ongoing communication between Capilano University the City of North Vancouver (CNV). Our former CNV Liaison and newly appointed Deputy Director of Community & Partner Engagement, Larry Orr, is stepping back from his involvement in the initiative following his key role in its development, launch and pilot. We would like to recognize Larry’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration for the well-being of the community. As we embark on year 2, we would like to welcome our new CNV Liaison: Lisa Stirling. Lisa has been with the City of North Vancouver for 8 years and recently joined the Community & Partner Engagement Department as the Community Partner Relations Specialist. She is responsible for number of high profile projects and initiatives that focus on economic development, business relations, corporate sponsorship, customer service, special events and non-profit relations. Lisa is also an Emergency Manager for North Shore Emergency Management and Emergency Social Services Director for the City of North Vancouver.
Prior to joining the City, Lisa was with TELUS Communications for 22 years where she held several positions including Mobility Customer Care Manager, Client Account Manager, and Senior Program Manager of Community Investment and Engagement.
Lisa is a passionate volunteer of her time and talents and has managed numerous telethons including: Canucks for Kids, Children’s Miracle Network and Variety Club. Additionally, Lisa is a North Shore Youth Soccer Referee Mentor, PGA Canada Committee Member and has served on the Executive for the Parent Advisory Council for 10 years.
