BADM 318: CNVFD Diversity in Recruits

How we could make the fire department appealing as a career to diverse audiences so our organisation can better reflect the community we serve?

Primary Objective of Project: Students to prepare short videos for the City of North Vancouver Fire Department to support their recruitment from a diversity and inclusion lens/to see diverse people in the fire department. The Fire Department believes the adage “you can’t be what you can’t see”.

Brief Description of Project: Each group will produce video clips designed to be shared on social media channels. Videos should engage diverse audiences with content supporting the Fire Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion for its recruits.

Course Goals Pertaining to CityStudio Project: The main objective will be for students to use the learned concepts of Organizational Behaviour (OB), in a meaningful and applied manner. In this case, “diversity”.
